Reviews about Patrick Smith ~ Qigong Instructor

“Pat is a superb teacher. He is calm and easy to follow. One of the things that has helped me the most is he would say ‘there is no wrong’, just follow my lead’. With that message, I feel relaxed. His standing meditation is fantastic and puts me in a good place. “

I have been a member of Pat Smith’s Qi Gong class for many years. He is the consummate teacher. He has a firm grasp of this beautiful art and presents his classes in a fully supportive manner. He is very aware of the eclectic nature of our class, and directs his classes in a clear and thorough manner. His sense of humor is ever present. I have included many of the forms that I have learned into some of my activities. During my experience as a high school baseball coach, I introduced some of our forms to our pitching staff to assist with their recovery from pitching assignments. They loved it and it worked quite well! Feel free to call me should you wish to personally discuss any of my views regarding Pat and our wonderful classes!

I find Pat’s class stimulating.  As a long time student, I always feel that we learn so much about life and other cultures each and every week. It is profound to learn something new each class.   Pat has a knack for making the class fun using his warm sense of humor to make a point.   Pat’s history of the art is shared with his students so that they become fully vested in its value and effect on the mind and body. Above all, he is a quality individual, and we are so fortunate to have such an accomplished teacher and friend.

Over the past seven years I have been a student of Patrick Smith’s Qigong class that promotes true peace of mind and effective stress reduction strategies.

Patrick Smith shares his experience and extensive qigong training as he teaches disciplined slow breathing techniques and gentle flowing body movements, all while focusing on the mind.

Patrick Smith’s qigong class has taught me how to relax and achieve a more peaceful life through effective body and mind training.

I have been studying with Pat Smith for 6 or 7 years. As a 20+ year student of Taijiquan (Tai Chi), I was immediately drawn to his teachings due to his breadth of knowledge, and knew there was plenty to learn from him. He’s a very good teacher, is attentive to the learning styles and requirement of all students present, and his classes are fun!! Topics we have explored include QiGong (breathe/Energy Work), Taijiquan, Karate, Indonesian Sticks, Meditation, Bagua Circle Walking, and snippets from a host of other martial arts disciplines with which Pat is intimately familiar. Pat has helped deepen and widen my practice; I have found he has helped me in my everyday life, by grounding me, allowing me to be a better martial artist, making me so aware of my balance, and oh! – did I mention breathing??
